About the Instructor
Agnelo Picardo is a solo artist and a veteran musician he plays the Drum and the trumpet. He performed with the stop gaps for the choir olympics 2003 bringing down the silver medal. He has also played on coke studio season 3 on the song Kalapi composed by Clinton Cerejo and sung by Kailash Kher and Pir Jalani feat. Barmer Boys. He has also backed up artist like Keerthi Sagathia,Caralisa Monteiro, to name a few. He has played on music director siddharth kashyap’s album Rock On Hindustan featuring singers such as Madhushree and Roop Kumar Rathod
About Ajivasan
Ajivasan, Earlier Known as Vasant Sangeet Vidyalay, was founded in 1932 in Srinagar by Acharya Jialal Vasant under the patronage of SMT.Rameswari Nehru.
The Institute has a reputation for providing scientific training in Hindustani classical music, and the students had the opportunity to perform with the master on several occasions.
Today the institute trains about 2000 students every year in Hindustani and western classical vocals, Instrumental music as well as Indian and western dance forms.
