Usually set up to have the button pushed in all the time except when the brake lever is applied the button is released allowing the circuit to close and electricity to flow through the switch to turn on the light.Unlike the Black Tip Magura switches which are normally opened ( NO ) , which turns on when the button is pushed in. I do not have any of the black tips switches but they are on ebay if you lookPS: PLEASE FOR GOD SAKE DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE A BLACK TIP IT WILL NOT WORK ! PSS. There is no nut included if you use a nut on some custom application the gray tip will not extend out enough to work, You need to use a 8mm-1.0 tap (fine thread )on what ever custom application you are doing to make it fit.
