This system is the culmination of working on hundreds of ProMedia 5.1 systems since 2005--to make for 2023 the most durable ProMedia, paired with the best sounding speakers. This ProMedia 5.1 performs as when new, and has a couple dozen key components that are of better quality than the originals, plus internal cooling. If you opt for the satellite speakers in this listing, they are upgraded from the standard ProMedia 5.1 to a set of five Klipsch Cinema 6 or Cinema 8 home theater speakers (the former are the same as Alienware's ALX system). They are more efficient than the stock speakers, producing more volume from the same amplifier power and better midrange.RSX-3 / RCX-3 The RSX-3s use 3.5" midrange speakers in place of 3" for the original satellites with the ProMedia. The RSX satellites pivot on ball mounts, so they can serve either as wall mounts or stands. The speaker wires are new 16 gauge, or the buyer of the RSX-4 set may opt for the pictured, preowned set of Monster Cable wires.
