Classic 4-track Vibes on Your Pedalboard Craving that indie-inspired, lo-fi vibe of the cassette 4-track era? The JHS 424 Gain Stage channel preamp pedal brings that unmistakable character straight to your pedalboard, faithfully re-creating the preamp signal of a classic early-’90s portable multitrack recorder. Sweetwater’s analog recording aficionados immediately recognize the familiar warmth and grit — ranging from touch-sensitive dynamics to all-out fuzz — easily shaped with the pedal’s intuitive rotary controls. And when it’s time to record, the onboard XLR output lets you send your crafted tone directly to a mixer or audio interface, amp-free if you prefer, with a handy ground-lift switch to eliminate hum.
