Every nuance of the early 1960s voicing is meticulously captured, right down to the smooth top-end response of his bridge pickup, which the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop replicated by soldering a 75-pF capacitor to the pickup itself. Between the full-bodied neck pickup, the expressive and dynamic middle pickup, and the cutting, powerful, but smooth bridge, Sweetwater’s vintage tone aficionados give high praise to the “Big Daddy” set for its punchy, larger-than-life tone.
