Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at an excellent working and somewhat rare early Calrad DM-20 dynamic microphone with original desk stand. It also comes with a shortened original cable and an extension cable. This 1950's or early 60's era Japanese microphone has a dynamic element which has been tested and works very well being set at High Z and will make a great general purpose mic or excellent harp mic. As you can see in the pictures provided this mic is in very good cosmetic condition with all original paint. There are just a few small chips in the original flat black paint. There are no dents or fractures anywhere on the mic however and the matching Calrad DS-3 model stand shows about the same amount of wear. The front grill looks pretty decent and seems to have a gold plating with a beautiful royal blue cloth screen. The Calrad label pretty good too. The chrome tube on the desk stand shows slight wear but overall very nice. There are felt pads on the bottom of the base to keep the stand from scratching any surface it may happen to rest on. The DS-3 has original paint with small scuffs and scratches. Total height with mic and stand is appx 9 inches. The joint mechanism works perfectly but it loosens as it tilted back and forth. A common problem on these older Japanese microphones. A simple twist of the screw driver tightens it right back up again. The threads for both the cable and stand are excellent. The original 1 foot cable is soft and pliable with zero cracks or dry rot and it comes with a newer (but still vintage) female XLR connector. I'm supplying an extra 15 foot cable that attaches to the existing cable so you can hook this up to any audio equipment you might have. The longer cable is in great condition and has the standard male 1/4 inch end connector. This mic is an easy 7 on a scale of 1 - 10 in the looks department and the sound is strong and clear. As with all my vintage microphones... I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. Buyer must pay within 24 hours or an unpaid case will be opened and the item will be re-listed. Domestic and foreign buyer will get priority shipping. If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
