Vasantotsav is a tribute to Acharya Jialal Vasant Ji , the founder of one of the most reputed music schools in Mumbai, Acharya Jialal Vasant Sangeet Niketan. Every year, the institute honors an eminent artiste with the Uttam Vag-Gayekar Jialal Vasant Award . The Award comprises INR 1,00,000/- & a Citation on a Brick of Silver weighing 1.25Kgs.

Vasantotsav further celebrates the contributions of exceptional individuals through two special award categories.

The first is the Swami Haridas Award , which acknowledges the dedication and impact of unsung music teachers who have made significant contributions behind the scenes. These educators have shaped the lives and careers of countless students through their unwavering commitment to the art of music, often without seeking recognition or fame for themselves.

The second is the Master Madan Award , named in honor of the legendary child prodigy Master Madan. This award is bestowed upon young talents who have demonstrated extraordinary skill and promise in the fields of music whether it be vocal, instrumental, or dance. It aims to nurture and encourage the next generation of artists who, despite their young age, have shown exceptional dedication and talent, embodying the spirit and potential of future maestros in the cultural landscape.
